Castle project

I finally painted all the pieces of the castle that I built all through lockdown and beyond. I didn't think of all these all of the pieces all at once as one single project. Rather I built different parts and realized that I could bring it altogether into one set up. I have gamed with some of this. It is 3.5 feet square and about 20 inches high at it's highest. I built it with 3 8" towers, 4 6" towers and 6 4" towers as well as a bunch of square building sections and some molds I used for the wall sections. It took a completely unknown amount of time but is measured in the hundreds of hours.

I will post more pictures soon because the madness did not stop here.

I wanted to have maximum flexibility, so I made alternate tops to give it a different look. This might be used for the evil castle in my game.

All the levels of the castle are and they all come off. There are 4 levels to each tower. and 3 in the gatehouse.

I also created an alternate gatehouse with the idea that it could be set up as a town gate or a smaller castle.

Of course I also made alternate tops for that and it is in parts so it can also be used separately as a bastion.

Holy cow! I can't believe the amount of work that went into this project. The painting is wonderful!

My favorite tops have to be the conical roofs. It just makes a dazzling image the way they all lay out across the top.

The modular design is wonderful as well. There are lots of ways you could rearrange this.

Thanks Bruce, it's a real compliment coming from you.
I had not actually set everything up before and when I did, even I thought "this is nuts". My wife saw it and she was in complete shock.
I actually built the pieces with gaming locations in mind, so if I actually use it I will post those pictures.
