sealing a plaster original to make a silicon mold of it
sealing a plaster original to make a silicon mold of it
I made a silicon mold of a dungeon tile, but the silicon seems to have soaked into the original, and paint won't stick to it. Does anyone know what I should seal the original with so that I can paint and use it after making a mold of it?

You can paint the tile with any type of flat spray paint. Flat black is a good choice if you want to dry brush grays on top of it.
However, the whole purpose of making a mold is to use the mold and make castings from it - without harming the original. In most cases the original is never used in a project but preserved in case you need to make another mold of it.
