Re: Castle Gatehouse plans (Harlech Castle inspired)

Thank you for all of the detailed information on this project. It really helps people to understand just how much work is involved with something this large!

Re: Castle project

Holy cow! I can't believe the amount of work that went into this project. The painting is wonderful!

My favorite tops have to be the conical roofs. It just makes a dazzling image the way they all lay out across the top.

The modular design is wonderful as well. There are lots of ways you could ...

Re: Something a bit different but related

Nice work! It looks like a fun project. At first I was confused about the large blue wall, but then I realized it was supposed to represent the mold.

What is the purpose of the blue blocks under the normal blocks 3 photos up?

Re: sealing a plaster original to make a silicon mold of it

You can paint the tile with any type of flat spray paint. Flat black is a good choice if you want to dry brush grays on top of it.

However, the whole purpose of making a mold is to use the mold and make castings from it - without harming the original. In most cases the original is never used in a ...

Re: Working on Cryptstone

Yes I do. This is the texture I wish I had started with at the beginning of the whole mold making thing. My overall plan is this:

I have a large project in the background of my mind which kind of fuels the projects and directions of this next series of molds. This project is to make a modular board ...

Re: I'm looking for ideas for Bolt Action European theater buildings

I'm thinking you meant to say Bolt Action. One project you might draw ideas from is the brick dice tower at https://hirstarts.com/haunt/haunt.html . The brick should be just about the right scale. The other brick mold is at https://hirstarts.com/brickdungeon/brickbasic.html .

You probably already ...

Re: Working on Cryptstone

They're actually fairly close. The texture on mold #350 is what led me to go ahead with molds #20 and #24.

The differences are that the bricks on mold #350 are not randomly recessed and the bricks are slightly less in height than 1/4".

Re: Wall on Center dungeon design and examples

Excellent! Thank you for the explanation and the photos.

One of the future projects I will do will be similar to this. The only difference will be that the walls will be "L" shaped, similar to my Low Wall Dungeon project, only using regular blocks instead of the low wall pieces.
